HELPing the Community

HELP operates a Thrift Shop in Owings to raise money that is circulated back to other non-profit organizations in the Calvert County community. Some of the organizations we’ve supported are the Calvert Pines Senior Center, the county volunteer fire departments and rescue squads, public schools, churches, and sporting organizations. We also support tri-county organizations such as food banks and have contributed to national and international relief efforts, such as after Hurricane Katrina and the Asian tsunami.

HELP contributes to these organizations both through monetary grants and material donations. HELP provides clothing, household items, small furniture and other items which our supported non-profits pass on to individuals and families who have been affected by disaster.
